Raanana, Master Plan for Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction

This project establishes for Raanana a model for greenhouse gas emissions reduction. The project includes the development of planning tools, management and municipal supervision, in order to achieve a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. A reduction in emissions is an obligation of the municipality pursuant to signing the Forum 15 treaty and the plan strives to match the objective with the city’s unique characteristics and to facilitate Raanana as a national leader of sustainability. The model for reducing greenhouse gas emissions focuses on four main action posts and allows the city to ‘spread a network’ of comprehensive sustainability, while concentrating and coordinating a variety of urban growth and actions.
